Venice firefighters presented a check for $4,000 to Venice Regional Bayfront Health on Nov. 6. The money was raised through a fundraiser by the firefighters’ Benevolent Fund in an effort to make sure all local women can afford to have mammograms. The fundraiser took place throughout October, in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Firefighters sold T-shirts and received other donations to raise money.
