The final concert this season for Exsultate! Chorale and the last to be held in the Grace Methodist Church on Venice Island, 400 E. Field Avenue, is Sunday, April 13 at 3:30 p.m. "Exsultate!" is pronounced "x-sul-tah-tay". This not for profit secular choral organization based in Venice is grateful for having had the opportunity to perform for twelve seasons at Grace United Methodist. Everyone involved is looking forward to changing the venue next season to the new Performing Arts Center that opens this fall. Performing will be over 100 voices of Exsultate!, its chamber chorus Jubilate and the 20 member Exsultate! Youth Chorus. The chorale is led by Artistic Director Stephen Johns and accompanied by pianist Mary Jeanne Moorman. Kathleen Crane directs the Youth Chorus, which was new this year. La Voci de Venezia, the Venice High School honors chorus, will also perform. The concert focuses on the theme"Voices of Reflection:From What Has Been to What Will Be". Featured will be John Rutter's "Requiem" accompanied by Gene Hodges on organ. Reflections will range from "The Peace of Wild Things" to "Elijah Rock". Tickets can be purchased online; at Reflections in Gold, 1975 Tamiami Trail South; or at the door. Individual tickets are $17, students $5. See www.exsultate.org for information, including group rates.  "Exsultate" is the real thing with local talent led by Venice raised Steve Johns.
