Karaoke and Red Wine Mix at the Allegro Bistro
Looking for something to do on a Wednesday night? Head to Venice's Allegro Bistro, where you can do karaoke and enjoy a glass of wine.
If all this rain has you singing the blues, you might as well have some fun and do it on stage.
Wednesdays are karaoke nights at Allegro Bistro’s lounge, 1740 E. Venice Ave. The fun starts at 5:30 p.m.
It’s not just bad amateur crooners on stage either; Venice Theater star Joseph Giglia has started showing up recently. Giglia, a leading actor in numerous Venice Theatre shows, including The Full Monty, Heidi and Ragtime, will be there tonight singing “History is Made at Night,” a duet from the hit TV show Smash. His Salon of Venice co-worker Carol Laps will join him.
Don’t let the trained singers intimidate you, though. It’s a friendly crowd. And everyone is more forgiving after a few glasses of Chianti.
Allegro Bistro owner Nella Valenti loves to sing as much as she likes to cook, so you'll likely here a tune or two from her, too.
