Circus Sarasota returns to the Big Top at Nathan Benderson Park near the UTC mall, with shows set for Feb. 15 through March 10. Among the stars: former Cirque du Soleil juggler Victor Krachinov, high-wire artist Pedro Carrillo, hand balancer Roman Khaperskiy, and spinning Cyr Wheel daredevil Valerie Inertie.

The Lion King roars into the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall for the first time for an unprecedented run of 23 performances—but even so, tickets will go fast for this multiple Tony Award winner based on the classic Disney movie, with songs by Tim Rice and Elton John. Bid farewell to Sarasota Orchestra music director Anu Tali when she conducts the last concerts of her six-year tenure, April 5, 6 and 7 at Van Wezel.
