Feeling in the mood for some food, wine and fellowship? The Sertoma Club of Venice’s annual Winefeast, set for Oct. 19, may be just what you’re looking for.
Up to 10 of the finest chefs in Venice will provide tapas to go with the wine tasting. (A contest to determine the best food of the evening means they’ll put their strongest efforts into it.) It’s also a good opportunity to mingle with friends during a laid-back evening under the stars, with a tent in the 100 block of South Nokomis Avenue welcoming both regular attendees and any newcomers to the event.
As well, Winefeast benefits Sertoma’s children’s speech clinic and other charitable organizations, so you’re helping a good cause while enjoying yourself. The evening runs from 6 to 9 p.m., and is limited to 400 people. So if you want to purchase tickets ($75), pay a visit to Richard at Venice Wine & Coffee, 201 W. Venice Ave.
