Virtually since Venice was founded, its pier has been a gathering place for boaters, fishermen, families and sunset strollers. This view of the pier at the Venice Inlet docks seems tranquil; more recently today’s pier (extending out from Sharky’s restaurant) suffered damage from Hurricane Irma that forced temporary closure. Here’s hoping that things are back to normal soon.
